Cardinal Rainer Woelki

The Archdiocese of Cologne

The Archdiocese of Cologne and its chief shepherd, Cardinal Rainer Maria Woelki, recognize the importance of providing Catholics from other peoples and nations the possibility of living their faith in a familiar environment, hearing the proclamation of the Gospel and receiving the Sacraments in a language they understand, and expressing their solidarity and charity with others. There are approximately 350,000 Catholics in the archdiocese whose mother tongue is not German.

Auxiliary Bishop Dominikus Schwaderlapp

International Pastoral Care

The department of International Pastoral Care is headed by Auxiliary Bishop Dominikus Schwaderlapp.  There are more than 40 missions and chaplaincies representing 27 different languages in the vicariate for International Pastoral Care.

The goal of our Chaplaincy is to attend to the pastoral needs of our active, English-speaking community. In addition to Holy Mass on Sundays and feast days, children and young people have an opportunity to participate in our CCD program and prepare for the Sacraments. Please feel welcome to join us or contact us if you have any questions!
